Appointments :

If you are a new patient, please arrive 5 minutes prior to your appointment time to allow time for any required documentation to be completed. While our doctors make every effort to run on time, delays may occasionally occur due to complicated cases or urgent patient needs. If you believe you will require a longer appointment, please advise our reception staff when booking.

Appointments can be made by phoning the practice or booking online via our Home Page. To book, please telephone the practice or making on online booking on our Home Page. A limited number of appointments are reserved each day for urgent and emergency consultations. We always endeavour to accomodate urgent cases and unwell children. Please inform our reception staff if your appointment is urgent when contacting the practice.

Results :

As test results are confidential, an appointment is required to for results to be discussed with you. This ensures results are accurately communicated and explained by qualified medical staff. It is the patient’s responsibility to book an appointment with their doctor to discuss all results results. Please allow at least 2 days for pathology results and 2-4 days for radiology results to be processed and reviewed by your Doctor.

Phone Calls :

If patients wish to speak with their Doctor, an appointment is required in most cases Please inform our reception staff if you would like to speak to your Doctor. If the Doctor is unavailable, our experienced reception team will take your details and pass on a message as soon as possible. Either the Doctor or reception staff will return your call based on the urgency of your request.

If you wish for a third party to access your test results on your behalf, please inform your doctor or nurse so it can be noted on your file.

Patients must not record Telehealth Consultations or distribute any information or data to third parties who did not participate in the consultation. Doing so is a breach of the Kanahooka Road Medical Practice Dapto’s policy.

After Hours :

After hour visits are provided by the Wollongong Radio Doctor on (02) 4228 5522. Patients are bulk-billed for this service, and a report of the consultation is promptly sent to our practice to keep your doctor informed.

Reminder System :

Kanahooka Road Medical Practice Dapto uses a recall and reminder system to help patients stay up to date with preventive health services, immunisations, and tests. If you do not wish to receive such reminders, please inform our reception staff to withdraw your consent.
